ODBC Setup
  
Healthcare Facilities Data System ODBC Setup Instructions
- Go to Settings > Control Panel > Administrative Tools, double click "Data Sources (ODBC)"
- Under "User DSN" tab, look for "facilities", highlight and hit "Remove" button. If “facilities” is not on list, proceed to step 3.
- Click "Add" button, choose "SQL Server" as driver
- Type the following into the three text boxes on screen:
- Name: facilities
- Description: ODBC Data Source for HQESDB2
- Server: HQESDB2
Click Next

Note: Effective Sept. 2009, most users will now be using their Windows login instead of their old SQL Server login.
Therefore, please follow the below instructions accordingly.
- For Windows Users:

Click on the first option "With Windows NT authentication using the network login ID"
- For SQL Server Users:
-
Click the second option "With SQL Server authentication using a login ID and password entered by the user"

- Click "Client Configuration" button, choose "TCP/IP" as Network Libraries, type the following into the two text boxes on screen:
- Computer Name: 161.223.220.78
- Port: 1433 (You may have to uncheck the “Dynamically determine port” box)
Click OK

- Upon clicking OK, the previous screen will appear. Type your Login name and password, click Next

- Check the box that have "change default database to Facil", click Next, then click finish

- On the next screen, keep all defaults, click Finish

- Click Test Data Source on the next screen

- Click OK three times to exit setup
