Database Setup

Healthcare Facilities Data System Database Setup Instructions


  1. Download the newest copy of the database from the HFDS Database Download page.  The database file will be labeled with HFDS-xxx.exe where xxx is the version number.


  2. When clicking on the installation file you can either save it to your hard drive or run the file from the website.


  3. If you save the file to your hard drive then double click the file to start the installation.

  4. Use the next buttons to move though the installation process.

  5. Once the Installation has been completed press the Finish button.  You will notice that a link to the database has been created on your desktop.


  6. Configure your ODBC connection to the SQL server using the instructions on the ODBC Setup page.
